Tamil actor Thakshan Vijay is set to make his Malayalam debut as a villain in the upcoming movie Ithikkara Komban, a film that centers around an elephant and is specially crafted to appeal to children.
Animal-centric stories have long captured the imagination of young audiences and have often turned into blockbuster hits across languages. Ithikkara Komban follows in that tradition, and it is also set to release in Tamil through dubbing.
At the heart of the film is Saadhu, an elephant that plays a key role in the storyline. The scenes featuring the elephant are designed to emotionally connect with children and family audiences. Produced by Rajan Pappan and Sreela Vadakara under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Cine Productions, the film brings together a diverse cast of talented Malayalam actors including Dini Tom, Tony, Kareena Kurup, Kesu, Sumeesh, and Sreeja in important roles.
Making a strong impression, Thakshan Vijay plays the menacing villain Thoothukudi Selvam, showcasing intense performance and action sequences that highlight his versatility.
The film is directed and scripted by K. Raju, a debutant director who previously worked as an assistant to veteran filmmaker Krishnaswamy. Music is composed by Pineesh Balakrishnan and Seenu Wayanad, with V.K. Pradeep handling cinematography, capturing the elephant-centric scenes beautifully.
Art direction is by Sabu Irinjalakuda, editing by Johnson Thomas, and action sequences are choreographed by Action Ashraf Guru.
