Politician to make his film debut

The latest to join the bandwag on of politicians donning greasepaint is Kanyakumari-based Dickson.

His debut film is titled Kabaliharam, and is directed by Madhu, Vijay, Pradeep and Benzer.

“The movie is inspired by a crime that took place in Krishnagiri. Lorry drivers and cleaners were murdered and their vehicles stolen by thieves from North India. The case was busted by the local police,” say the directors. “We have shot in the locations at Krishnagiri where the crime actually took place,” they add.

Dickson, who has changed his name to Dhakshan Vijay, essays a cop named Murugavel. Others in the cast include Mime Gopi and Yogiram.
